Happy Birthday Nat!

This year, we could have a tight budget for everything...... including my son's birthday celebration.

First we brought this little dear to the bakery and let him choose a 0.5kg cake he loved from the display shelf. Well, he had chosen a Red Velvet Cake which I think because of the sweet color and the attractive macaron on top of it.

Well it could not be look good enough for a child's birthday cake without any darling cartoon stuffs on it, correct?

Then this is how I do. Actually I had bought some cake toppers online 2 weeks earlier which is very cheap, less than RM10 with 12 toys!

On his birthday, I brought out all the tiny toys to him. Then I encouraged him to pick a few and let him "decorate" his cake himself! Wow he loved it so much! And the rest of the toys, he immediately played with them happily.

Imagine the cake was originally come without the tiny vehicles and the puppies...

See, it turned out special and looked lovely ~~

Happy Birthday, Nat~~

Pumpkin Loaf by Tesco Bread Maker BM1333

This is the second time I baked this bread.

Yeah.... I love bread, but I HATE kneading. Do you??

Thanks to my brother who had introduced me the TESCO Bread Maker BM1333. I bought this online, less than RM200 and never regret on my buying.

I got this recipe from someone's blog. Oh please forgive me, I had forgotten where I copied it from. Honestly, I appreciate her sharing.

Here's the recipr after I've done some modifications:

Pumpkin Puree - 120 - 130g
Milk - 65ml
Egg - 1 no
High Protein Flour - 250g
Butter - 15g
Sugar - 30-35g (Depend how sweet you like to have)
Salt - 2g
Yeast - 3g

** During your machine is kneading, you may add some flour if you find it too wet.
** Like I always do, select "Light" Color and "1.5lb" Loaf for Basic Bread

This round I have added some leftover almond flakes but believe me, it doesn't taste nice. I think it could be taste better if you spread on top together with the sugar which the bakery shop is always do. :)

Nice color........

Enjoy!
